We have identified 7 Spiritual Habits for a Christian that we are teaching all summer long. Most of us would all agree pretty easily that (1) Prayer and (2) Reading the Bible are an easy fit. We may or may not actually do it regularly, but it is easy to agree that we should and would like to learn to do it better. We would even easily agree that “Gathering” (or simply put — be at church gatherings regularly) fit into this. But these are not terribly threatening to us.
But we have now entered into the scary world of 2 of the Spiritual Habits that we would often just want to avoid…
- Sharing my Faith (the sermon from last Sunday — and another part 2 message will come soon on this!)
- Sharing is scary to us most of the time – right?
- and Giving $$$$
- (Oh no… we are going to talk about money and giving???)
This coming Sunday my good friend Ron Shepard has prepared a challenging message for us that I want you to hear. It is actually part 1 of 2 messages that Ron will bring to us. Please come and participate in the learning process and see how developing this Spiritual Habit in your own life. You will not only learn a great deal of the biblical reason for it, but you will see how God uses this to help grow you and NOT just a ‘fund raising’ tool for an organization. I am excited to hear from Ron and learn myself, but I am most interested to see how God uses this to grow His Kingdom work.
See you Sunday morning as we welcome our guest teacher Ron Shepard. I will be here to be part of this as well.
