Solomon has observed many, many people in his life. He has seen people whose life was preserved. He has seen many people whose lives came to ruin. And he noticed that, in a lot of cases, the person’s mouth did it all! It was not because of anything else, but it was because of his mouth. How can something so small be the cause of something so big? How can something so small as being cautious with one’s words [save] his life from making a catastrophic mistake? How can something so small as just opening wide one’s lips bring his life to ruin? Be careful with your words!
