In 2012, we started what has become the most important week in the life of our church calendar: the GLOBAL IMPACT CELEBRATION (GIC). Since 2012, for every GIC we have invited guest missionary workers from around the world to join us in person, which has personalized God’s work in the world for us here at LifeWay. Because of these GIC weeks over the years, we now have dear friends on literally every continent on the planet who are sharing the gospel. We have also sent out of our church a couple hundred workers to serve for a short term, and several who now live and serve in key locations around the world.
GIC 2020 is obviously different structurally in a COVID-19 world, but it as important as ever! In fact, by virtue of the way we are doing the events, there is MORE of an opportunity for you to understand our mission work and our partners.
I urge you to pay attention to the details of how jump in and learn about, grow in knowledge of, and stand with our partners around the world this week—and make commitments to God’s great Commission to take his redemptive message to a lost and disconnected world.
