After nearly three months of COVID-19 interruptions, we are re-engaging with our plans for Multiply! Buliisa!
Just in case you’ve forgotten, let me remind you what Multiply! is all about: Multiply! is a chance for us to consider how God views our resources, to be encouraged by the ways that God has multiplied resources for his glory in the past, and to commit to using our resources for the good of those in need. Specifically, we are focusing our efforts on our World Vision partner community of Buliisa, Uganda.
LifeWay has been partnering in Buliisa since 2011! As a church, we have sponsored children, held water walks, and used interactive experiences to help people connect with the people of Buliisa, their joys, and their challenges.
This year, we challenged everyone at our kick-off service to multiply the gifts that were handed out. As we re-engage with this challenge, we have adapted our plans and events to fit with the current realities of our society. Here’s what to expect:
- Every Monday, you will receive an email explaining our theme for the week, opportunities for you and your family to engage, and ideas for multiplying your resources.
- Every Sunday during our streaming service, we will share stories from Buliisa that illustrate their triumphs and challenges, a message from the Bible that shares God’s perspective on our resources, and some ideas for the upcoming week.
- You will have the opportunity to engage in the activities and opportunities we share, or create your own! Be sure and post pictures of you and your family engaging in Multiply activities on Facebook and Instagram with #Multiply, or email us pictures at office@lifewayconnect.com.
- We have created a Multiply! Auction site where you can browse, share, donate, or even contact us to post your own offerings.

Weekly Themes
Here are our weekly themes (adjusted from the original events):
Week 1 (June 8-14): Game Night
- While a huge poker and darts night isn’t in the cards, you can learn how to host a small at-home or online poker or game night to multiply funds for Buliisa.
Week 2 (June 15-21): Art Week
- While the Art Studio event had to be canceled, you can bid on an at-home sign-making party package for 5 friends!
- You can also post your own creative offerings on our Multiply Auction site and share the link with your friends and family!
Week 3 (June 22-28): Dinner and a Movie
- While the Kids Ministry movie night can’t happen, you can bid on a fantastic movie night gift basket and bring the party home!
- While we can’t really celebrate with a potluck Ugandan Dinner, we can send you some simple Ugandan recipes to try as a family!
- On Sunday the 28th, we’ll celebrate (virtually, of course)!
