SNOW UPDATE: Reach Out has NOT been canceled due to snow and will continue as planned.
LifeWay has joined several churches in Federal Way to serve the homeless in our own community. During LifeWay’s service at the Reach Out men’s shelter, 25 homeless men will be served each night. Here’s how you can help.
How to Help #1: Sign up to bring and serve a meal.
Groups of 4 or more are needed each night to bring and serve an 8:30 p.m. meal at Calvary Lutheran Church in Federal Way. Get your Discipleship Group, your friends, or your family together to provide and serve a hot meal that includes a main dish, vegetable, rolls or bread, and dessert.
Sign up through the Meal Train, or sign up at the Connection Corner on Sundays.
How to Help #2: Donate breakfast items or cash.
We need at least 350 servings to provide breakfast for two weeks! Your donation of items—or cash to purchase them—will help. Bring donations of the following items to the church on Sunday or during midweek business hours:
– Boxes of cold cereal
– Oatmeal packets
– Orange juice
– Apple juice
