Middle school and high school students, come spend 24 hours hanging out, learning, worshiping, and having an awesome time as we pray for and support Buliisa!
What is Experience Community StudentStyle?
Along with joining our church for the Matthew 25 Challenge and celebrating at the Ugandan dinner on Saturday night, the youth will be doing a lock-in experience to build community in our group and discover what life is like for kids in Buliisa, Uganda. The goal of this event is to increase students’ awareness of the needs of kids in Buliisa, to understand the importance of serving others, and to raise support for the community of Buliisa. LifeWay Church has partnered with World Vision to adopt an ADP (Area Development Project) in Buliisa, Uganda. Each week the offering collected in LifeWay’s children’s ministry goes directly to the monthly support of Derick and Dorcus, the two children LifeWay sponsors through World Vision. We are challenging LifeWay Youth to raise money to support the community of Buliisa, Uganda, where Derick and Dorcus live.
Our goal for the Experience Community StudentStyle campaign is $840. That’s equivalent to the $35 of monthly support needed to sponsor two kids through World Vision for one year.
We encourage all students to raise support by donating money they may have earned and by asking friends, family, neighbors, classrooms, teams, and anyone else they can think of to donate, too. If 24 students participate raising $35 each, we will reach our goal of $840!
Lock-in registration costs $25 and will be open April 7 – 28.
Please RSVP by Sunday, April 28.
