A Worship Service of Giving Thanks!
This coming Sunday morning, November 19, we are dedicating our worship service to celebrate Thanksgiving. We will NOT have Turkey and dressing (you can do that this week with your family and friends) but we will take the time to learn what it means to when the Bible says… “Give Thanks…” and then we will practice it.
So here is your assignment as you prepare for worship this Sunday morning…
Before you come Sunday morning, do a little research and find a favorite verse or two in Scripture that instructs us about giving thanks, then look into the deeper meaning of what they can mean to us. During the service I will have a simple biblical lesson on giving thanks, but the teaching time will be much shorter than normal. Around tables we will take a little time for you to share the meaning of thanksgiving out of the verses you have chosen around the table you are sitting at. (There will be a little food at your table!). We will have lots of wonderful music to offer our thanks to God. We will end the service by taking communion and thanking God for life in Christ. It will be all be a wonderful way to give thanks for all He has done.
So our Sunday worship will be…
- Short teaching
- Table sharing
- Lots of Singing
- Communion and final thanks to God
See you Sunday morning at 10am.
