On Easter Sunday we launched a series of messages that we are calling Epic. I used the illustration of an epic journey, such as David Livingstone’s exploration of the middle of Africa, or Lewis and Clark’s trek across western North America. These epic journeys reshaped the future for millions to follow.
To call the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus an epic event is an understatement. Everything has now changed because of what Christ has done. Romans 8 spells this out, which we will see as we focus this chapter for the next several weeks.
Read Romans 8 many times over the next few weeks. Let it sink into your soul. Follow the cross references in your own Bible. This one chapter is packed with deep theological truth that reshapes our lives. I am breaking our study down in this way…
- Romans 8:1 — Epic Pardon
- Romans 8:12-17 — Epic Family
- Romans 8:18-30 — Epic Future
- Romans 8:31-37 — The Epic Savior
Pore over this incredible chapter. Make this message from the Word of God a part of your life. We are still having streaming services. We will be studying this passage for the next several weeks, either through streaming or maybe even coming back together in the same room.
Love you all. Stay safe. Stay in touch with each other!
