Refresh, Part 6: Real Relationships
The church family should not be a place for ‘polished’ believers to come and compare how good we look; rather, the church family should be a place for imperfect people to point each other to Jesus. We should be a place where the broken and the hurting can come together and be transformed by relationship with Jesus. Real relationships mean that we will be upfront and open and honest about where we are, and who we are, so that we can all be transformed into the image of Jesus together. That’s why our last core value is stated like this: We will develop real, transformative relationships. Because it is only through those real, transformative relationships that we can see individuals walking in the newness of life with Christ. And as we inside the family are transformed into the image of God, it allows us to invite others outside of the family to come and experience that relationship as well.
