Sign up on Sundays for TAG (Training and Growth) Groups! These are short-term, focused studies offered quarterly. If you have questions or would like more information, contact Heather Althoff.
We ask that anyone participating in a TAG group donate the appropriate amount to cover the cost of materials if they are able. Donations will be collected at the first meeting of each group. At LifeWay, we never want cost to keep someone from participating in a meaningful group. Please contact Heather Althoff for scholarship information.
WINTER 2019 TAG GROUPS:
Prodigal God
Sundays at 9 a.m., beginning January 20
At LifeWay — Led by Rick Wallace
Join us as we explore the heart of God in a whole new way, aided by pastor Tim Keller’s study on the story of the prodigal son. In that parable, Jesus revealed God’s prodigal grace toward both the irreligious and the moralistic, challenging both skeptics and devout believers to truly understand the heart of God. This group is appropriate for men, women, and older youth. Expect about 30 minutes of reading each week. Materials cost $13.
Women in Leadership: Understanding the Biblical Debate
Sundays at 3 p.m., beginning January 20
At LifeWay — Led by Heather Althoff with other LifeWay Leaders
Have you been frustrated or bewildered by the discussion on Women in Leadership at LifeWay over the last year? Followers of Jesus on both sides of the issue may have felt worried or confused by the various opinions and arguments. This group is intended to help you understand the various biblical passages at the core of this debate and how different groups come to the conclusions they do. We will address topics of biblical interpretation and historical debates within the church, as well as the individual Bible passages. The goal is for you to be informed of the biblical issues, aware of the complexities, gracious in your opinion, and willing to work with others. This group is appropriate for any man, woman, or older youth. Expect about 1 hour of homework per week. Materials cost $5.
Parenting: The Power of Love

Parenting is not just a project, so in our time together we will explore the role of mom and dad, as well as the two faces of love: affirmation and discipline. Join us for a time of discussion where we will emphasize seeing our kids through God’s eyes. This group is appropriate for parents and caregivers. Childcare is available. Materials cost $5.
Where Do I Fit In?
Meeting day and time based on participant availability
At LifeWay — Led by Amy Parodi
An essential follow-up to the GIC for anyone who has not found their place of service to God. We will see how God made and shaped us individually for a “kingdom assignment,” and how we all fit together to accomplish the greatest mission ever given. We will consider our personalities, gifts, experiences, and passions as we look to see how we fit in to the ministry and mission of LifeWay Church and the whole of God’s family.
